About Our Company

Operating out of a small executive suite with a handful of employees, Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. opened for business in 1998 and closed 321 mortgages for $35 million in the first year. Like many entrepreneurs just starting out, we were passionate about our work but  had no idea where the road might lead. Fast-forward more than 15 years later.

Primary Residential Mortgage:

  • Employs more than 1800 people.
  • Offers 270 branches in 49 states.
  • Maintains a corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Has helped more than 70,000 borrowers seize a piece of the American dream—the dream of owning their own home.

We’ve experienced fantastic growth over the years but we haven’t forgotten where we came from. We believe in keeping a personalized approach to business, making sure our borrowers get a customized mortgage experience.

About Our Office

Rolf and his wife Charlotte opened the San Luis Obispo office of Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. in 2012. With four staff employees and six loan officers, the branch has quickly become the fastest growing mortgage office in San Luis Obispo.

The Storlies have been leaders in the local mortgage industry for many years. Charlotte joined the industry in 1984, working for a variety of lending institutions here on the Central Coast. In 1995, Rolf and Charlotte helped open The Mortgage House. While Charlotte worked as the San Luis Obispo Division Manager for the past four years, she previously held the position of Vice President of Branch Operations for 13 years.

Rolf joined the industry soon after he sold his business, Courier Systems in 1994. Rolf served in many capacities at The Mortgage House. He held the position of Sales Manager and Regional Manager and was repeatedly recognized as the “Circle of Excellence Top Producer” at The Mortgage House.

“The secret to success in the mortgage industry is to be trustworthy and to make sure you take care of your clients first, “says Senior Loan Officer Rolf Storlie. “You need helpful lenders as well as loan officers and employees with a commitment to providing a high level of service.”
